Apply over a warm neutral base—such as antique white, parchment, or soft beige—to complement the vintage newspaper textures and distressed background. For a bolder, more dramatic look, try charcoal, black, or deep burgundy to enhance the striking portrait and red accents. The versatile A3 format is ideal for smaller furniture pieces, cabinet doors, decorative trays, and framed artwork. Use a quality decoupage medium and smooth carefully to preserve the intricate typography and layered collage details. Finish with a matte or satin topcoat to protect your design while maintaining its authentic, vintage-inspired appearance.
