Bring an authentic touch of industrial history to your antique booth with this fantastic antique brass blowtorch manufactured by the Clayton & Lambert Mfg. Co. out of Detroit, Michigan. Beautifully embossed on the back of the tank with the maker's mark and a patent date of "Jan. 4, 1921," this piece is over 100 years old and dates directly to the roaring 1920s.
The front of the heavy brass tank still retains a charming, albeit worn, partial remnant of the original red, white, and gold C&L shield decal. It features a turned wooden handle, a hand pump, a valve wheel, and a heavy cast burner assembly complete with the original top hook (traditionally used to rest and heat a soldering iron). Today, these century-old torches are highly sought after as rustic display pieces, fitting perfectly into industrial lofts, steampunk-themed rooms, or "mantiques" tool collections.
