Annie Sloan Decoupage Papers - Winged Wildlife
Annie Sloan Decoupage Papers - Winged Wildlife
In the interest of enriching the world and making the planet a more beautiful place, Annie has combed the RHS Lindley Collections – the world’s finest collection of botanical art – to find the most beautiful images from their collection for you to use in your homes. These images have then been carefully transposed, translated onto backdrops of best-selling Chalk Paint® colours, and turned into the Annie Sloan with the RHS Decoupage Papers collection. Making your furniture into a work of art, with a rich backstory, and a beautiful finish is now totally fool-proof with these unrivalled Decoupage Papers.
Winged Wildlife: Most of the images are from colored engraved plates from the 1776 publication, "Collection precieuse et eluminee des fleurs les plus belles et les plus curieuses, qui se cultivent tant dans les jardins de la Chine, que dans ceux de l'Europe." (Precious and illuminated collection of the most beautiful and curious flowers, which are cultivated as much in the gardens of China, as in those of Europe).
Whilst the artists are unknown, the author is Pierre Joseph Buchoz (1731-1807) a French medical doctor who also studied, taught, and wrote on botanical and natural history subjects.
