Formal Garden: Pieter van Kouwenhoom was a painter who flourished in the 1620s and 1630s in the Netherlands.  The illustrations Annie's featured here are taken from his watercolor collection of botanial illustrations, which dates from the 1630s and celebrates popular flowers of the day.
