Bring authentic, early-20th-century character to your space with this primitive antique "flop-down" or "turn-over" style metal toaster. Before pop-up toasters became the norm, these open-frame appliances were a staple in 1920s and 1930s kitchens. The user would place a slice of bread on the side rack, close it against the exposed heating coils, and manually flip the door down to toast the other side.
This piece features a heavily oxidized, stamped metal body, exposed internal wire heating elements, small wooden or composite feet, and an original vintage cloth-wrapped power cord with a Bakelite-style plug. With its heavy rust and weathered patina, this piece is an exceptional display item for primitive farmhouse decor, a rustic kitchen vignette, or an antique appliance collection.
Condition
Grade: Rustic / As-Is Display Condition
Details: Warning: For decorative display only. Due to the age of the exposed wiring, the cloth-wrapped cord, and the heavy surface rust/oxidation throughout the metal frame, this appliance is strictly a decor piece and should never be plugged in or used. The side doors function mechanically, but the metal shows significant authentic weathering.
