A fantastic antique industrial and railway inspector lamp. This classic piece features heavy-duty cast and sheet metal construction with a prominent side-mounted reflector plate, a clear glass globe embossed with "DIETZ", and a rectangular frame handle with an integrated hanging slot.
The base/housing is clearly embossed:
"DIETZ ACME INSPECTOR LAMP NEW YORK U.S.A."
