Knife Maker & Model: Buck Knives, Model 110 Folding Hunter.
Materials: Stainless steel clip-point blade, solid brass bolsters, and dark wood scales (typically Macassar Ebony during this era).
Dating the Knife: The tang stamp reads BUCK / 110 / U.S.A. without any date code symbols (like a < or + or -) following the number. Buck introduced year-mark symbols in 1986, which places the manufacture of this specific blade squarely in the 1970s to early 1980s.
Sheath: Heavy-duty black leather flap sheath with a snap closure, stamped with the Schrade logo on the flap and the metal snap.
Condition Report
This is a solid, field-ready piece in "user" condition. The blade shows visible sharpening scratches, minor spotting, and signs of heavy utility use. The brass bolsters have developed a natural, tarnished patina. The Schrade sheath has surface scuffs and creases, but the stitching is intact and the snap functions perfectly.
