This vintage, flat plane, hand-carved, folk art figure depicts an attractive young woman in the traditional dress of Setesdal Valley, Norway, including a golden solje-style brooch at her throat. The detail in her face, hands, and beautiful clothing is remarkable. The base is signed Setesdal, P.K. 1952.
Measures 7-1/2 inches tall, with a 1-1/2 × 2-1/2 inch base.
