This vintage, flat-plane, hand-carved, folk art figure depicts a man in the traditional dress of Gudbrandsdal, Norway (formerly Oppland). The detail in his clothing and face is truly remarkable and quite beautiful. He is marked on the bottom, Gudbrandsdal, P.K. 1952.
Measures 7-1/2 inches tall, with a 1-1/2 × 2-1/2 inch base.
