A beautiful, delicate antique stick pin (or small hat pin) featuring a hand-painted ceramic button top. The intricate artwork depicts two traditional Japanese figures in flowing kimonos, rendered in rich colors with heavy gold-gilt outlining and detailing. The ceramic cabochon is bordered by a black and gold enameled metal frame. The white ceramic background exhibits beautiful, authentic craquelure (fine crazing), adding incredible antique character to the piece.

Details: The ceramic top shows heavy, fine crazing/craquelure normal for its antique age, but there are no structural chips or cracks. The hand-painted details and gold gilt remain remarkably clear. The twisted metal stem has darkened with natural age/patina but is straight and solid.
