This classic vintage skeleton-style fly fishing reel is a fantastic piece of early-to-mid-century angling equipment. It features a highly ventilated, open-frame metal design—originally engineered to keep the reel lightweight and allow the fishing line to dry quickly to prevent rot.
The faceplate is equipped with twin dark wooden or composite crank knobs, while the base features a knurled thumb brake lever for line control. Currently spooled with a bright teal blue line that adds a great pop of color, this reel has an excellent exposed, mechanical aesthetic. It is a perfect rustic accent for a lodge, cabin, or man cave, and a great addition to any antique tackle collection.
