This beautiful vase was created in Czechoslovakia during the 1920s to 1930s by the Ditmar Urbach factory. The bold colors - purple, orange, yellow, green - and gilded ring encircling the narrowest point and the foot really make this fan-shaped vase pop with a particular style of Modern design that was not seen again until the 1960s and 1970s. The impressed and stamped marks on the bottom are indistinct, but present. These confirm the maker and origins of this outstanding piece.
