Add a delicate touch of vintage elegance to your booth with this stunning hand-painted Noritake porcelain handled dish (traditionally known as a "nappy"). This beautiful piece features a soft lavender background adorned with vibrant pink peonies, yellow chrysanthemums, and scattered gold gilt starbursts. The heavily gilded, molded top handle and the black rim featuring intricate gold scrollwork give it a striking contrast.
Flipped over, the base bears the iconic green Noritake "M in Wreath" mark (standing for Morimura Bros), which dates this authentic piece of Japanese export porcelain to between 1914 and 1940. It is a perfect fit for a Cottagecore aesthetic or a Boho vanity, serving beautifully as an ornate ring dish, a catch-all for small jewelry, or a striking display piece on a dresser.
Condition
Grade: Fair to Good Antique Condition
Details: The front of the dish remains stunning, with vibrant paint and bright, reflective gold gilding showing minimal wear. However, as shown in the photos, there is a visible chip on the top edge of the rim (mostly visible from the back, but catching the edge). Because of the chip, it is priced primarily as a charming decorative accent rather than a mint collector's piece.
