This beautiful studio pottery butter bell has a distinctive lavender or periwinkle blue glaze. Entirely handcrafted, it is of very high quality. This is a large size butter bell, able to hold 1 cup of butter, rather than the usual 1/2 cup size. Inside, on one wall of the outer jar, is a surprised face. On the top is an incised pattern of 6 squiggly rays, like a sunburst. It is marked on the bottom with the potter’s impressed identification stamp. This is a beautiful and useful piece of ceramic art, perfect as a gift.
Measures 4 inches tall and 4-1/2 inches in diameter.
