Bring classic mid-century scientific style and nautical nostalgia into your space with this vintage Airguide Compensated Barometer, manufactured in Chicago, Illinois by Fee and Stemwedel, Inc.

The dial features a dual-reading scale displaying atmospheric pressure in both Inches of Mercury (28 to 31) and Millibars (940 to 1060), complete with traditional weather prediction indicators: RAIN, CHANGE, and FAIR. An open circular window at the center reveals a fascinating peek at the brass internal aneroid mechanism.

Housed in a solid round metal casing, this weather instrument is perfect as a decorative accent for a bookshelf, mantel, home office, gallery wall, or nautical/industrial decor theme. It also serves as a great restoration candidate or prop piece.

Condition

Grade: As-Is / Decorative Vintage Condition

Details: Please note: The front glass lens is cracked across the center face. The underlying paper dial remains clean, bright, and legible. Both the red set hand and dark pressure needle are intact. The internal brass movement appears visually complete, though it is untested for barometric accuracy. Priced accordingly for its as-found state.
