A fantastic piece of mid-century textile history and a charming display piece. This cloth-bound hardcover book, titled simply "Fabrics," was published by the J.B. Lippincott Company with a copyright of 1942 (noted as a completely revised edition of earlier works dating back to 1923). The cover is finished in a muted sage green cloth, stamped with elegant, swooping burgundy cursive typography. It makes an excellent reference manual for a fashion historian, a prop for a vintage sewing room vignette, or a beautiful addition to a curated vintage bookshelf.
